Samuel Adams Noble Pils Boston Beer Company Boston Massachusetts
This is a German style Pilsner that uses the noble hops (Hallertau, Tettnanger, Spalt, and Saaz) for it's flavor and aroma, and for it's name.
It pours a nice rich golden color with an average head and some lacing. The aroma is slightly hoppy with a little malt but not overly aromatic.
This is a tasty beer for those who like a bit of hops, but it's not overly hoppy like some pale ales and IPAs. There is a nice clean, light malty flavor that blends well with the spice and citrus flavors of the hops. It starts off with just a bit of bitterness that mellows as you enjoy it. It has a nice level of carbination without going overboard. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Perfect for the BBQ.
This is one of my new favorite American pilsners.
If you're interested in expanding your beer tastes into the hoppier range than typical lagers this a great beer to try! But hurry, it's a Spring seasonal beer and will be gone soon. Typically priced around $14/12pk.
